Police are investigating after a six-year-old girl was allegedly attacked by a dog at a restaurant in Ewell.
Officers say the child was playing outside in the Toby Carvery Ewell restaurant’s garden, along Cheam Road, when she was reportedly attacked.
The incident happened at around 4pm on April 7, according to Surrey Police.
The dog is described as white and similar to a pitbull or Staffordshire bull terrier, while detectives are also looking for its owner who is said to be a white male aged in his 20s and around 6ft tall.
PC James Butcher, who is investigating, said: “Due to the nature of this incident, the injuries sustained could have been a lot more serious.
“We are keen to speak to the owner of the dog and urge anyone with any information to get in contact with us.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact police on 101, quoting the reference PR/45190036097.
