Plans to build a rooftop bar and an outdoor cinema in the heart of Wimbledon have been submitted.
The existing buildings in 17-27 The Broadway currently comprise of six shops and span between the Odeon Cinema and the Flight Centre building.
The application, submitted by Harper Downie on behalf of Hermes Property, said that the proposal will have a "positive impact" on Wimbledon town centre.
"The new rooftop development will enliven the streetscape and create an interesting and appealing addition to the skyline," it read.

"The new shopfronts and signage zones will greatly improve the quality of the streetscape and improve the type and quality of the shopping."
There is also a separate application for the 12 Hartfield Road building and 9 Broadway place on behalf of the same applicant.
This proposal would see former pub The Slug be turned into nine-storey business block.
