A Bromley man who got hitched on the TV show Married At First Sight has had a hair transplant in the hope it will help him get wed for a second time.

Ben Jardine’s first marriage "didn’t work out" after he appeared on the bizarre reality show but the property developer has had 3,000 hairs transplanted into the front of his scalp so he can finally find love.

The 37-year-old, who has also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, said: "I know my first marriage didn't work out but I would like to meet someone special and getting my hair sorted out will help with that.

''I have been losing it for years and it is particularly noticeable around the temples.

''I am a big believer that opportunities come your way if you have self-confidence and feel good about yourself.

''I know having a full hairline will make me look years younger and hopefully it can help me find the woman of my dreams.

''You have got to love yourself if you want someone else to love you.''

It will take a year for Ben’s hairline to grow back after it was extracted from the back and side of his scalp.

Ben was coming off a 13-year relationship when he was approached on the street about marrying a stranger on the Channel 4 show.

After filing for divorce Ben had a baby girl, Siena Grace, with a former girlfriend who he still lives with.

He said: "I have absolutely love being a dad and it is great that Siena Grace is living with me even though her mum and I have split.

"We are still good friends and both just want what is best for Siena.''

Ben had the FUE (follicular unit extraction) procedure done by Dr Asmin Shahmalak who has consulting rooms in Harley Street.

The TV star said losing his hair knocked his confidence but he is now ready to settle down with the right person.
