Kingston Council (RBK) is urging residents to have their say before finalising plans for new a playground and outdoor gym at King George's Recreation Ground.

RBK said it would invest £1.3million in the borough's parks over the next three years, and wants residents to offer their thoughts and advice on the projects before the initial plans now in place are tweaked and finalised.

RBK said: "The playground at King George's Recreation Ground is getting a makeover, including new play equipment, new planting and improved access between the skate park and the playground.

"Working with playground manufacturers, Wicksteed, draft plans have been designed and we want to hear your views. Once all comments have been received and reviewed, the designs will be changed where appropriate and the final scheme will be updated on this webpage along with a timeline for the works."

Additionally, the proposed outdoor gym at King George's Field would be "catering for a wide range of exercises and abilities," RBK said.

RBK said the final face-to-face drop-in event about the plans will take place in conference room at the Indoor Bowls Club on Jubilee Way, Chessington, KT9 1TR on Wednesday 27 March, 5pm to 8pm.
