A row of empty shops could soon be brought back to life in the form of new homes.
A planning application has been put to Merton Council that would see the buildings in 225-331 Streatham Road into a six storey housing block.
A document attached to the application which was submitted by Wamm Consulting on behalf of Stepping Stone Ltd said the current site provided no benefit for the community.
"Existing buildings on the application site have been abandoned, left derelict and vandalised," it read.
"The main elevations have all been hoarded over or boarded up and left to be graffitied over."
As well as 28 flats on the top five floors, a row of shops will will also be included on the ground level.
Permission was previously granted for the redevelopment site but according to the planning documents, the application failed to consider a Thames Water easement, which "rendered the scheme as unviable."
