A new LGBTQ+ forum has been launched in Sutton as the borough celebrated LGBT History Month.
The Deputy Mayor of Sutton, Cllr Chris Williams, alongside borough councillors, attended the launch event before hearing about some of the major projects in the works.
Initiatives supporting health and education will start over the next month or so, while the forum is also collaborating with various providers.
These include Sutton Healthwatch, Sutton Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), Community Action Sutton and Sutton Carers.
In addition, they will also be providing new social events across Sutton – such as movie nights, late coffee groups, non-alcoholic pop-up bars and more.
The Sutton LGBTQ+ Forum was able to start its launch last December thanks to a small donation from Community Action Sutton.
