Police have confirmed that the person hit by a train at North Sheen station last night has died.

Officers from British Transport Police were called to the station at 4.18pm yesterday afternoon (March 11), following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Paramedics also attended and sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are currently working to identify the person and inform their family.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
