A problem between Raynes Park and Motspur Park is causing delays for South Western Railway this morning.

National Rail have been informed that there is a track circuit failure on a London bound line.

This means that trains have to stop before the failed section of track and seek verbal authority from the signaller before continuing.

Network Rail, who own and maintain the railway infrastructure, have been advised of this issue and their engineers are on site to rectify the problem with the track circuit.

As a result of this, there is disruption to trains between Epsom, Chessington South and Wimbledon. Trains may be cancelled, delayed or revised.

Services on this line have also been further delayed by overrunning engineering works in the Epsom area.
