A woman from Teddington is a finalist at 2019 Mrs India UK pageant.

Nita Sharma, 40, is originally from Vidyanagar, a small town in Gujarat, India.

She moved to the UK at a young age, to pursue a career as an artist.

After spending her early years as an artist, Mrs Sharma moved to Teddington seven years ago, where she runs specialist menswear fashion store Studio 148.

"With increasing responsibilities of motherhood, I decided to step away from painting and pursued the business of art, by acquiring the Selwyn Smith Studio on Teddington High Street," said the mother of two.

"This venture did not work out as expected, however I realised a lack of specialist menswear on the high street.

"London has helped me realise and convert my passion from art to fashion, which has resulted in successfully running a menswear boutique in Teddington."

Nita’s store stands out successfully on Teddington High Street. The clothes displayed at her store are handpicked by Nita ranging only from global speciality brands.

Nita is a finalist at the Mrs India UK pageant 2019 which is taking place on April 14 in London.
