Teddington favourite The King’s Head has got a fresh new look and reopened last month.

The pub on Teddington High Street has been refurbished by owners The White Brasserie Company. The pub was the company's first one and is described as a local favourite.

Polly Dunn, general manager said: "It has been incredibly hard work but worth it to see the reaction of my team and regulars who have all been delighted with the refurbishment. We have a lovely new look with a cosy and homely feel.

"We’ve been here nearly 9 years now and consider ourselves very much part of the local community. One of the best things about Teddington is the support businesses give to each other.

"We hope that we will continue to be able to work and continue to support local businesses in their ventures such as our wreath making workshop with Gardenia. Now that we have a beautiful private dining room we are perfectly placed to host events of all sorts.

"Despite the fact that we are part of a wider group we immerse ourselves in the community so it hurts when we lose any business.

"We all work together and for us keeping the community spirit is key and we’re well established with even our head office being based in Teddington. We want people to use the high street and small local business to keep Teddington unique spirit alive.

The pub reopened on February 22.
