Two teenagers have been charged in relation to a spate of south London moped crimes after police raided addresses in Carshalton and South Norwood.
Both 17-year-old males, appeared at Croydon Magistrates' Court today (February 25) to be charged with a range of theft and driving offences.
The first was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, driving not in accordance, and driving without a licence.
The second was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, driving without a licence, possession of cannabis and breaching a criminal behaviour order.
They were arrested yesterday after officers from Operation Venice, dedicated to tackling moped-enabled-crime, and local Safer Neighbourhoods officers executed a number of search warrants at five addresses as part of an investigation into a number of robberies in south London this month.
They will next appear in custody at Croydon Crown Court on a date in March.
A 14-year-old and a 15-year-old boy also arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery have been released under investigation.
