Surrey Police are appealing for information after several necklaces were stolen in Walton-on-Thames.

The jewellery was stolen during a break in at a property in Walton late last month (January 28).

Surrey Police said: "A large amount of jewellery, including these necklaces, as well as personal items such as a London to Brighton medal, Duke of Edinburgh medals and a crochet poppy, were stolen from a house close to the Ashley Park area.

"Residents returned home on the evening of 28 January to find a rear glass door smashed and the jewellery, worth hundreds of pounds, missing from the bedroom."

Alongside the jewellery (pictured), Surrey Police said that several others items of value were stolen from the property, among them "a gold engagement ring with one central diamond and three smaller diamonds on either side, a gold wedding band, Duke of Edinburgh medals, a London to Brighton medal and a crochet poppy."

Surrey Police suggested that the items might have been passed onto a fence for sale and urged anyone who may have been approached by someone offering to sell items like these, or who had any information about the theft, to contact them at surrey.police.uk/TellUsMore , quoting the reference number PR/45190009990.
