Two men were arrested after the discovery of a secret cannabis factory in Cobham last night (February 14).

Surrey Police said that they had responded to calls Thursday evening of an attempted break-in at a property on Fairmile Lane in Cobham.

In a statement about the raid, Surrey Police said: "Officers were called to an address in Fairmile Lane around 7.45pm following reports that intruders were trying to break into the property.

"When officers searched the house, they found a large number of cannabis plants.

"Two men, aged 20 and 42 years, were arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and are currently in custody."

Surrey Police added despite the arrests they were still appealing for more information about the property and its contents and urged anyone with information to come forward:
