How Palace rated against the Tigers.
Julian Speroni - Much improved performance for the Argentine. First-half performance kept Palace in the game. Man of the match. 8.
Danny Butterfield - Kept his place in front of fit again Matt Lawrence and did not let anyone down. 7.
Leon Cort - A solid display, particularly in the first-half. Will be disappointed by missing out on first clean sheet of the season. 7.
Mark Hudson - Looked comfortable before giving away a dubious penalty in the dying minutes. 6.
Tony Craig - Provided good cover for his centre-backs and done the simple things well. 6.
Tom Soares - Great run leading up to the opener - but struggled to have an impact from right-midfield. Switched to his favoured central role late on. 6.
Carl Fletcher - Worked his socks off again and stood firm as Hull threatened to overrun Palace in opening period. 7.
Ben Watson - Looked comfortable, as you would expect. But looked to be tired and was subbed by Taylor. 6.
Jeff Hughes - Looks classy - but is too lightweight for the rough and tumble of Championship football. 6.
Paul Dickov - Fluctuated in and out of playing up front and right midfield. But gave his all and never gave Hull's defenders a moments rest. 6.
James Scowcroft - Well taken header and led the line well for the Eagles. 7.
Sub.
Dave Martin (replaced Hughes, 46) - Understandably nervous but grew into the game and provided the cross for Scowcroft's goal. 6.
Clinton Morrison (replaced Dickov, 60) - Did not have sniff. 5.
Stuart Green (replaced Watson, 60) - Tried his best to get one over on his old side. 6.
