A man is fighting for his life after being hit by a car in Mitcham.
Police were called at 7.14am this morning (February 6) to reports of a crash between a car and a pedestrian in Holborn Way at the junction with Western Road.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. The pedestrian, who is aged in his late 60s, was taken to a west London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
The driver stopped at the scene.
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
