Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after an 18-year-old boy died when he was struck by a coach in Mitcham.
Emergency services were called to London Road yesterday (January 31) at 1.12pm following reports of a road traffic collision.
Police officers, the London Ambulance Service and the London Air Ambulance Service were all at the scene and discovered a coach had hit a pedestrian.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said, despite the best efforts of emergency services, the teenager was pronounced dead just under 30 minutes later.

No arrests have been made while enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Sergeant Nick Mackian, the investigating officer from the Met’s serious collision investigation unit, said: “This incident occurred at a time when traffic was heavy on London Road and I urge anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage to contact police without delay.”
