Described as the "face of the Liberal Democrats by-elections", Patricia 'Paddy' Wainwright has passed away.
A former mayoress of Richmond, Patricia sadly died in a nursing home in Eastbourne earlier this month, aged 85.
Before moving to Newhaven in East Sussex, it was Barnes' Cleveland Gardens that she would call home.
She led the Lib Dems to victories in Eastbourne, Ribble Valley, Newbury, Christchurch, Eastleigh, Littleborough & Saddleworth, Winchester, Romsey and in many other campaigns including when they took Eastbourne back in the 2010 general election.
She will be survived by her five children, ten grandchildren including one expected in 2019, and one great-grandchild.
