A man has been shot in the face with an air pistol after he confronted a pair of would be thiefs.
Police were called at about 11pm on January 24 to reports of man assaulted in Melliss Avenue, Kew.
The victim, aged in his 40s, was parking his car when he noticed a motorbike he owned, also parked at the location, had been tampered with.
He then saw two men nearby and challenged them.
Both of them then fled before one turned and fired an air pistol at the victim, causing facial injuries.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment before being discharged.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
