A man had his wrists slashed in an attempted watch mugging in Croydon on Tuesday night.
Police were called at 7.26pm to reports of a stabbing on Cherry Orchard Road, at the junction with Addiscombe Road.
Officers attended alongside the ambulance services, finding a man in his 20s suffering slash injuries to his wrists.
It is believed the victim was slashed as two men attempted to steal his watch. The men then fled on foot having failed to take the watch.
No arrests have been made, as enquiries continue.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called at 7:26pm on Tuesday 22 January to reports of an incident on Cherry Orchard Road, Croydon.
"We sent an ambulance crew and an incident response officer to the scene.
"We treated a person at the scene and took them to hospital as a priority."
