A man has been charged after two police officers were injured during an incident in Carshalton.
Lahiru Pathranage, 22, of Stanley Road was charged by officers on January 14 following the altercation in the same road on Sunday.
He is accused of assault by beating of an emergency worker against the two officers, criminal damage and assault by beating against his father.
Mr Pathranage was originally arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after the force previously claimed he tried to push one of their officers from a third-floor balcony.
He was remanded to appear at Camberwell Green Magistrates' Court this morning (January 15), and a Scotland Yard spokesman said they are currently awaiting an update on the case.
Meanwhile a 52-year-old man who was also arrested has been released under investigation.
