A woman in her 50s was stabbed in Wallington on Friday evening.
It is believed she was attacked by a man outside of a supermarket on Mollison Square, Roundshaw.
Police were called to the area at 6.20pm, where they found the woman suffering from stab wounds.
She was taken to hospital in a stable condition and has since been discharged.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who saw the incident to come forward with information.
A woman arrested at the scene on suspicion of conspiracy to commit GBH has since been released without charge.
DC Kristy Thom, of Sutton CID, said: “We know the area was busy at the time this assault happened and we are keen to speak to anyone who may be able to assist with our investigation.
