The scene in Purley Way
The reason a major road through was closed off for part of yesterday afternoon has been revealed.
Just before midday on January 5, Purley Way was completely closed off between Fiveways to just past Wing Yip.
This caused huge traffic problems with people having to que all the way back to Waddon Way.
Police have now said that the delays came as a result of a car crashing into a lamppost at 11:42am.
There were no injuries sustained from the crash and nobody was arrested either.
