Surrey Police have raided a cannabis factory in Banstead this week, with £100,000 worth of marijuana on site.

Police were alerted to the presence of a cannabis factory in Upper Pines following a tip off from a member of the public on January 2.

Nobody was found inside the property and Surrey Police have issued an appeal for information which could help track down the people responsible.

Detective Constable Alice Button said: “This was an excellent find and will be a severe blow to those producing the drugs.

“The investigation is ongoing and we need the local community’s help in order to find out more information about the producers over the past few months.”
