Pupils in Kingston had afternoon tea with residents of a nearby care home for tea on Thursday.
Canbury School on Kingston Hill hosted residents of Sherwood Grange residential care home in Kingston Vale for afternoon tea on December 13.
The care home residents were treated to a spread of sandwiches, tea, coffee and mince pies to share with students, and sherry.
They also caught some of the acts from the school’s Christmas show, which played later that evening.
Headmistress Louise Clancy said: “We were delighted to welcome our neighbours from Sherwood Grange to Canbury. I don’t know who enjoyed it more – the students or our delightful guests.”
Kimberley Atkin, head of activities and lifestyle at Sherwood Grange, said the afternoon trip had been the perfect start to the Christmas season for the guests.
She added: “It was lovely to see the generations mixing. Many thanks to Canbury for extending such a warm welcome.”
