HAVERFORDWEST’S Morrison’s supermarket and a volunteer at Withybush have been spreading a little pre-Christmas cheer at the hospital.
A&E volunteer Bob Elliott and Morriston’s supermarket community champion Sian Rees both visited Withybush on December 11, bringing a haul of tasty mince pies, supplied by the supermarket.
Bob said: “I have worked as a volunteer in the A&E for two years, and, in that time, I have been able to bring to A&E regular savouries and sweets from the Westgate Evangelical church In Pembroke, where I attend.
“I then wanted to bring Christmas cheer to the hospital, so Morrison’s has kindly donated mince pies this Christmas, and last year as well.
“I just wanted to show the real meaning of Christmas and that God sent Jesus for us to know he is the reason for the season.”
