A blaze tore through part of a flat on the ninth floor of a building in Woolwich at the weekend, the London Fire Brigade has revealed.
Five fire engines and around 35 firefighters were called to the flat on Greens End in Woolwich at 2.42pm on Sunday (December 9).
London Fire Brigade investigators believe the cause of the fire was accidental and due to a fault in the heating and ventilation system.
Fire crews from Greenwich, Bexley, Poplar, Lewisham and New Cross fire stations attended the scene.
There were no reports of any injuries.
