Plans to stop crows allegedly littering Wallington Green have been backed with more than £1,000 in Sutton Council funding.
The authority believes the birds are responsible for removing rubbish from bins in the area, which then “blows about on the green” and therefore causes problems.
Now green litter bins will be replaced with larger, black heritage ones complete with lids.
Borough councillors have now approved a measure which now sees £1,200 taken from the council’s public realm budget to help support the new plans.
