A van driver has been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving after a 20-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash in Sutton.
Police were called to reports of a collision involving a white van, a motorcycle, and some parked vehicles shortly after 8pm in Westmead Road on Thursday (December 6).
Officers say the 20-year-old man, the rider of the motorcycle, died at the scene of the incident.
His next of kin have been informed.
The driver of the van, a 45-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs and causing death by careless driving.
Officers from Scotland Yard’s serious collision investigation unit (SCIU) have now launched enquiries into the incident.
