A major road through West Norwood has been closed this afternoon after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash.

Emergency services were called to the A215 Beulah Hill at around 1.30pm following the collision.

A man, believed by police to be in his 20s, was treated at the scene but died from his injuries.

A Met Police spokesman said: "Police were called on Thursday, December 6, at around 1.30pm to a report of a collision in Beulah Hill junction with Grecian Crescent, S1e9

"The male motorcyclist, believed be in his 20s was treated at the scene and was pronounced dead at 2.02pm.

"His next of kin have not been informed."

Police also confirmed no arrests have been made at this stage.

As of 5pm, a number of diversions in the Beulah Hill area remained in place.
