The body was found near South Norwood Lake.
A body was found in Croydon last night (December 5).
Police were called at around 7:30 pm to reports of a body found in a lake off South Norwood Lane.
Police and London Fire Brigade attended and recovered the body.
While officers believe they know the identity of the deceased, work continues to locate next of kin.
At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained. Enquiries continue.
