A young man and woman were seriously injured in a car crash in Sutton last night.
Police were called at about 11pm to an accident outside the fire station at St Duntstans Hill.
A black Ford Fiesta crashed into a wall at the location. At this early stage of investigation no other vehicle is believed to have been involved.
The driver, a man in his early 20s, sustained serious head injuries.
A woman in her early 20s, the only passenger, sustained serious facial injuries.
Both were taken by London Ambulance Service to a south London hospital. .
Although serious, neither of their injuries are life threatening. Their next of kin have been informed.
