A Wandsworth coaching company has launched a specialist programme to develop physical activity and wellbeing for children and young people in Wandsworth.

Community interest company, Begin2Sports Group, was founded by 2017 by Adijat Mumunie. She has been instrumental in developing her daughters into world class athletes and is now keen to provide similar opportunities for young people in Wandsworth.

GymLetics and Athletics will aim to develop young people in Wandsworth, transforming them into competent team players and elite athletes through mentoring, coaching and opportunities to compete.

Adijat recognises the barriers faced by many parents to develop their children’s talent and finance has proved to be one of the biggest hurdles for children who lived in deprived areas of Wandsworth.

Through Begin2Sports she has ensured that young people have an opportunity to develop in track and field by developing specialist interventions to increase inclusion for children and young people who have ADHD and Dyspraxia through her program.

Adijat has established a sponsorship program to allow young children who have talent but have a disability or financial barriers to participate in competitions and watch elite championship events in stadiums across the UK.

Begin2Sports group CIC will launch their new GymLetics and Athletics program early January 2019 which combines popular sporting activities: Gymnasium, Gymnastics, Athletics, Strengthening and Conditioning. Classes are suitable for children and young people aged 5-16.
