The incident reportedly took place near Primark, at the North End section of the high street
A young woman has been charged with the assault of a 64 year old in Croydon town centre last week.
Three women were initially arrested in connection with the attack, which took place at 2pm at the north end of Croydon High Street.
Tia Osborne, 18, of Long Lane, has been charged with ABH.
She is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court on Monday December 10.
A second woman arrested on suspicion of ABH was released with no further action.
The victim, who was taken to a south London hospital, sustained injuries that we neither life threatening or life changing.
