Hundreds of Christmas gift boxes are to be distributed around the world by a Coulsdon house builder.

The gift-laden boxes were collected by Barratt from their sales and marketing suite at Cane Hill Park on Keats Way last week and are now on their way to be opened on Christmas across the world.

In addition to the Greater London collection, Barratt gathered over 452 shoe boxes at its various developments throughout the South-East to be distributed worldwide.

Lynnette St- Quintin, Sales and Marketing Director for Barratt Southern Counties comments: “Thank you to everyone who brought a Christmas shoe box along to Cane Hill Park in the last few weeks. Hopefully these generous contributions will go a little way to bring a bit of Christmas cheer to children in other parts of the world.”

This is the fourth year that Barratt Homes has opened up its marketing suite to be used as a drop off point for Operation Christmas Child.

Lynnette adds: “We support many charities throughout the year and while most are local, we feel that bringing a few smiles to children’s faces across the world this again this Christmas is such an incredibly worthwhile cause.”

Sales Advisor at Cane Hill Park Nikki Spencer- Skeen has been volunteering for Samaritans Purse, the charity who runs the campaign for over six years.

Nikki says: “These boxes will all be taken to be processed by volunteers at Holy Trinity Church in Redhill, once they are ready they will then be taken across the world to make many children a little bit happier at Christmas. It’s extremely rewarding to be involved each year.”
