One person has been arrested after a group of stolen vehicles were found in Mitcham.
Last week, Merton Police were "steered to a possibly suspicious vehicle" after a tip-off from a resident in the area.
"Arriving at the scene, our response team officer's suspicions were fuelled as they noted a few dubious looking vehicles in the same area," police said.
"'Audi get all these dodgy cars in one place' thought PC Ford.
"The older PC Roewe said: 'Datsun, is why we check all information lines till they are exhausted'."
Taking a seat in the police car, PC Ford started his checks.
They soon uncovered the "bountiful haul, plus a few nicked cars to boot."
One person was arrested for five counts of theft of motor vehicle and fraud by false representation.
Enquiries are still ongoing.
