A Teddington rehab practice are celebrating how far an ex-soldier and patient has come.

The Rehab Practice is a stroke and neurological rehabilitation clinic in Stanley Road. The centre, set up by a husband and wife team from Teddington, offers specialist neurological rehab at any stage of recovery.

The team have decided to support Help for Heroes and celebrate the progress ex-soldier Stephen has made at the centre. Staff, family and friends will be walking along with patients on December 22 to raise money for the charity and awareness for strokes and neurological disorders.

Stephen's mum, Jess, said: "At 19 Stephen suffered a severe head injury whilst serving in Iraq in 2007. Given 15 minutes to live he was airlifted to Selly Oak, Birmingham. Hopes for recovery and a good quality of life were low.

"Now after 10 years of variable therapy input and having to challenge professionals we were lucky to hear about The Rehab Practice. I am now looking in amazement of Stephen's latest video. I cannot believe how far he has come. He is so happy and positive, its all down to Richard (one of the founders). We cannot thanks him enough."
