The fourth Peace Conference is to be held in Tooting on Sunday, November 25.

Hosted by the Tooting chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association, more than 150 guests will attend the event, including ministers, parliamentarians, police officers, faith and civic leaders, as well as representatives from numerous charities and community groups.

The theme of this year’s event is "Fundamentals of Establishing Lasting Peace". The Peace Conference aims to promote a deeper understanding of Islam and other faiths, seeking to inspire a concerted effort for lasting peace. Community service awards will also be presented at the event.

Shakeel Ahmed, President of the Tooting Chapter, said: “The Holy Prophet Muhammad’s love for humanity knew no bounds and all who were around him knew this. It was this unbounded love that won him their hearts and minds and souls and helped him transform them from bedouins buried in the earth into spiritual beings capable of soaring to the highest pinnacles of spiritual advancement. The Holy Prophet Muhammad desired to serve everyone. It did not matter to him whether the person in need was Muslim or non-Muslim. I shall make it absolutely clear that Islam does not permit cruelty or oppression in any way, shape or form. This is an injunction that is absolute and without exception.”

The event will take place at The Classic Banqueting Suite, on Upper Tooting Rd, from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm on Sunday, November 25. For more information, email Shakeel Ahmed at syedsahmed09@gmail.com
