A 15 year-old from Epsom has been arrested, after an allegedly “violent assault which started on a bus in Epsom.”
A man boarded a bus at the Epsom clock tower stop on the High Street at 2.20pm on November 6 and had no means to pay.
Police said the driver asked the man to leave, which allegedly escalated into an argument.
Investigating officer PC Gregg Marshall said: “This was a violent and unprovoked assault, which has resulted in a man sustaining facial injuries and a dislocated shoulder.”
Surrey Police said the teen was identified and arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning bodily harm after a number of calls from members of the public following a police appeal.
The suspect has been released from police custody but remains under investigation at this time.
