Detectives investigating an alleged aggravated burglary in Epsom have issued an appeal for witnesses.

Four suspects in balaclavas carrying weapons reportedly smashed their way into a property in Yew Tree Bottom Road on November 12 between 8.30pm and 9pm.

The suspects threatened and assaulted the occupants before making off with cash, watches and jewellery.

Detective Constable Simon Evans, who is investigating the incident, said: “This was a nasty aggravated burglary during which the occupants were subjected to being threatened, grabbed and punched.

“Both the occupants have been left extremely distressed by their ordeal and we are carrying out a number of enquiries to find out who is responsible.

“The only description we have is the suspects were wearing dark clothes, gloves and balaclavas”
