GEORGE Ezra and Richard Ashcroft have been revealed as the headliners of the Neighbourhood Weekender which returns to Victoria Park on May 25 and 26.
SJM Concerts, which is run by former Woolston High student Simon Moran, will again be hosting the Latchford festival in 2019 after its hugely successful launch earlier this year when tickets sold out in less than four hours.
Warrington music lovers will again have first dibs on tickets with a pre-sale for WA1 to WA5 residents beginning on Thursday morning – 24 hours before they go on general sale.
George Ezra is one of the biggest selling male artists of the decade. His debut album, Wanted On Voyage, went four times platinum in the UK and spent 122 weeks in the chart overall.
His upcoming arena tour sold out in minutes and his second number one album, Staying At Tamara’s, is one of the best-selling records of the year so far.
Richard Ashcroft released his fifth solo studio album, Natural Rebel, last month.
The album represents the latest chapter in a hugely successful solo career for the Ivor Novello-winning former Verve frontman.
It follows chart-topper Alone With Everybody, Human Conditions, Keys to the World and These People.
Celebrated performers Primal Scream, The Vaccines, You Me At Six, The Charlatans, Tom Grennan, Nothing But Thieves, Slaves, The Amazons, Gerry Cinnamon, The Slow Readers Club, Embrace, Gaz Combes, Maximo Park, Mystery Jets and Kate Nash are among the main line-up.
The first wave of artists also include some of the best new talent like Pale Waves, The Hunna, Sea Girls, Fuzzy Sun, Jade Bird, Maisie Peters and Not Hot Ashes.
A spokesman for Neighbourhood Weekender said: "The Festival Awards nominated Neighbourhood Weekender brings together an incredible weekend of live music across three stages, from the biggest acts to the best breaking new bands along with a hub of food and drinks.
"Neighbourhood Weekender 2018 sold out in just four hours and next year’s festival is set to do the same."
Advance tickets for residents in the WA1 to WA5 postcode areas go on sale at Thursday at 9.30am.
General tickets are available from Friday at 9.30am.
Day tickets are £55, weekend passes are £105 and VIP passes are £195. All are subject to booking fees.
