People are being given an extra month to voice their opinions on the Wimbledon masterplan.

Originally, Merton Council said it was accepting comments until December 7, but have now extended that mark until January 6.

In an effort to hear those views, community group 'friends of Wimbledon town centre' have organised a meeting for tonight (November 12).

"Anyone who cares about the future of Wimbledon is encouraged to look at the plans which will create 'a long-term vision for the future development of Wimbledon town centre'," a spokeswoman for the group said.

"Paul McGarry, head of futureMerton, will be talking about the masterplan and answering questions at the meeting."

The meeting is taking place in the arts space at Wimbledon library, from 7.30pm and it is first come first serve for spaces.
