Eltham College held a service to honour Remembrance Day as well as creating an installation of poppies to remember the fallen.

On November 9, staff, students and guests gathered outside the school chapel and held a minutes silence to mark the end of the First World War.

The service also honoured the 34 Old Elthamians who lost their lives.

Staff lay a wreath of 34 poppies made by the students and it has now been installed in the chapel.

Locals can visit the installation in the chapel as part of an exhibition showing in the Gerald Moore Gallery.

The exhibition will be open every Saturday between 10am to 4pm until December 10.
