Original scripts for the TV sitcoms Bread and The Liver Birds are being auctioned by writer Carla Lane on a Croydon website.
The writer, who also wrote the classic BBC show Butterflies, is selling off the hand-signed scripts to raise money for her animal sanctuary.
Carla set up the charity Animaline was founded in 1987 and in 1993 she opened her sanctuary in West Sussex providing a home for rescued animals.
But on the charity's website Scouser Carla confessed that the sanctuary was in urgent need of financial help.
The charity auction site e2bid.co.uk, based in High Street, Croydon, is auctioning the script from the 1975 Liver Birds Christmas special.
And it also has an original script - covered in notes - from an episode of the comedy Bread, which was an instant hit when it launched in 1986. The sitcom starred Jean Boht and Jonathan Morris.
All proceeds from the auction will go directly to the charity.
Bidding closes on October 9. The bid currently stands at £110.
