A veterinary nurse who feared she would never see who beloved pedigree cat again has been reunited with her lost puss thanks to the Croydon Guardian.
Vicky Woolger's kitty Neelix went missing from her home in Bramley Hill, South Croydon, on September 5.
She was particularly worried abut her light grey Cornish Rex because he has severe skin problems and allergies.
But on Saturday morning Vicky was told her cat had been spotted in Barham Road, South Croydon by a man who had seen her appeal in the paper.
Vicky said: "Unfortunately I was at work and was so busy I could not leave. I sent my flatmate down to look for him, but he couldn't see him. My mum went down to look for him and 20 minutes later she called to say she had got him. I was sitting at work and had everyone else in tears along with me.
"My mum then rang back a few minutes later and said that he had jumped out of her arms and ran off again. I was still an hour and a half away from finishing work so I was panicking like crazy.
"I finally finished work at 2pm, drove straight to Barham Road, called him and out he came."
Neelix was very skinny so Vicky took him back to her vet's practice for treatment. But she says he has now recovered and purring happily.
"Thanks to your article and the man who phone me I finally have him back, sitting on my lap and purring in his sleep. I doubt he'll ever want to go outside again."
