From ice rinks to carolling and seasonal food to live performances, there’ll be something for everyone this Christmas at Hampton Court Palace.

The palace will be filled with yuletide cheer, as it celebrates Christmas traditions from the past and present through the eyes of its Edwardian grace-and-favour residents.

Join in the fun with 'Christmas Present', Christmas Past, a new live offer which will transport visitors back to 1906, where the palace community are preparing for Christmas.

From singing carols around the tree to telling spooky ghost stories, discover the centuries old traditions they’re drawing upon to inspire their festive play.

Meanwhile, in the kitchens, the cookery team will be busy at work on live culinary demonstrations, showcasing the evolution of Christmas dinner as we know it today.

The popular Hampton Court Palace Festive Fayre which takes place on December 7-9 will also return this year, with the building’s historic courtyards set to be filled with over 80 stalls featuring mince pies, mulled wine and a host of treats guaranteed to set mouths watering.

As well as an array of artisan producers, a stellar line up of chefs including Marcus Bean and Alex Hollywood will be cooking up a storm and offering some seasonal recipe inspiration and top tips.

Visitors can soak up the festive atmosphere, with the Courtyard Bandstand playing favourite Christmas classics to entertain shoppers, as well as carol singing by local choirs.

For a chance to pick up some last minute presents after hours, Twilight Shopping tickets are also available on the Friday and Saturday evenings.

Visitors can also enjoy the backdrop of Henry VIII’s former home as they skate back in time with the return of the ice rink to the palace’s Tudor West Front on November 23 to January 6.
