Police have arrested a second man following the alleged rape of a woman in Carshalton.
Officers were called to Alma Road at around 3pm on October 14.
The victim, who is in her 50s, was walking when she saw two men on a bridge at Carshalton Ponds.
It was when she approached an alleyway near to Shorts Road that both men "grabbed her" before she was reportedly raped.
Romanian man Radian Cojorcaru, 32, was arrested that day and was charged with rape.
He appeared in custody at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, October 17 and was subsequently remanded to appear at Croydon Crown Court on Wednesday, November 14.
Yesterday (October 23), police arrested a 20-year-old man in Gloucester Road, Kensington on suspicion of rape.
He is currently in custody at a central London police station.
