A drug dealer from Croydon who hid class As down his trousers was jailed last Friday (October 12).

Ashley Thomas, 27, was arrested in June 2017 when his car was stopped and 16 wraps of cocaine and MDMA were discovered below his waist.

Following his arrest, Thomas’ phone was found to contain text messages showing him organising drug deals across the capital.

Thomas, of Isham Road, pleaded guilty to one charge of possession with intent to supply cocaine and one charge of possession of MDMA.

He was sentenced to 2 years and 30 weeks at Inner London Crown Court.

Detective Constable Joseph Farrell from the City of London Police said: “The City of London Police operates a zero tolerance policy to drugs.

“As well as those who take drugs or deal drugs in the City, we are committed to seeking out people who travel through the Square Mile with drugs to commit offences elsewhere and bring them to justice.”

Thomas was also ordered by the court to forfeit his car and cash found on his person and in his home totalling £6,084.
