Thousands of cyclists will take to the roads of Richmond to raise funds for the UK’s leading youth charity.

Palace to Palace, supported by Delta Air Lines, is the flagship challenge event for The Prince’s Trust, and will see around 3,200 cyclists riding from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle on Sunday 7th October 2018.

Joining the cyclists are a number of famous faces including celebrity chef Melissa Hemsley and Magic FM DJs Lemar Obika and Harriet Scott. All are keen supporters of the charity.

The Palace to Palace route kicks-off on The Mall under the backdrop of Buckingham Palace. Cyclists will pedal through Richmond Park and the Surrey countryside, passing the world-famous Windsor Castle before reaching the Festival Finish at the Royal Windsor Racecourse.

The event will raise vital funds for The Prince’s Trust, enabling the charity to support young people to improve their lives, and take the next steps into work, education or training. Palace to Palace is The Prince’s Trust’s largest mass-participation event and is now in its 13th year. The event has raised over £4.1 million for The Prince’s Trust to date.

Melissa Hemsley, Prince’s Trust celebrity Ambassador said: “I am thrilled to be able to support this year’s Palace to Palace ride for The Prince’s Trust. I share passionately their mission to support more young people to achieve their full potential and the event will raise vital funds to support this. The route from Buckingham Palace to Windsor is one of a kind, so I am very much looking forward to seeing all the cyclists take to the roads this year and celebrating all their efforts.”

Lemar Obika, Prince’s Trust supporter says: “I am delighted to be taking part in this year’s Palace to Palace ride for The Prince’s Trust. It’s a privilege to be involved as I have seen first-hand the great work and positive impact The Trust has made to the lives of so many young people. Corneel Koster, Delta Air Lines’ senior vice president Europe, Middle East, Africa and India, said: “Having supported The Prince’s Trust and Palace to Palace for a number of years, we’re proud to sponsor this year’s event. The Delta team is very much looking forward to tackling the fantastic route and raising vital funds so the Trust can help more young people realise their dreams.
