A Richmond model has been selected to take part in the final of Miss English Rose.

The modelling competition is part of the historic Miss English Rose competition which is the second oldest in England. It has been running since 1951.

Margaret Nolan, 32, has been chosen to take part in the final at The Prince of Wales Hotel Ballroom in Southport on October 6.

Margaret said: "I enjoy modelling, singing, posting about my journey on Instagram and anything beauty related."

Hundreds of girls entered this years competition and judges narrowed it down to 20 finalists.

There are over £2000 worth of prizes including the opportunity to take part in the national final of Miss British Isles 2019 and the

opportunity of winning a modelling contract.

At the final Margaret will be up against other finalists from all across England. Margaret will be required to take part in a catwalk show at the final which is in front of the judges and the winner is announced on the day.

Previous winners of Miss British Isles organised events have gone on to be signed by top modelling agencies, take part in major TV shows and even appear in a Bollywood film.
