The candidates for the upcoming by-election in Belmont have been revealed.
Six people have put their names forward for the vacant seat after former councillor Patrick McManus stepped down from his post at the end of August.
Whoever is the successful candidate would join current councillors David Hicks and Jane Pascoe in the ward.
The poll for the election of the new councillor will be held on October 25 between 7am and 10pm, with the result announced shortly after.
These are the candidates, with their political alliance in brackets:
- Ashley Dickenson (Christian Peoples Alliance)
- Neil Garratt (Conservative)
- Claire Jackson-Prior (Green)
- Marian Wingrove (Labour)
- Dean Juster (Liberal Democrat)
- John Bannon (UKIP)
